Before you book

Free patch test first

A colour skin test takes five minutes and has to sit for 48 hours. Book it as its own free appointment before your colour — it is the difference between a lovely day and an A&E trip.

Olaplex in the bowl, not as an upsell

Our full-head and half-head highlights include Olaplex worked through the lightener. It is not a separate line on your bill.

Toned before you leave

Lifting is only half the job. Every colour finishes with a toner so you go home the shade you asked for, not the shade the bleach left behind.

Consultations are five pounds, not free advice

Fifteen minutes with a stylist, properly booked, so you are not squeezing a big decision into someone else's appointment slot.

The things people ask

Do I need a patch test before colouring at Sugilite Salon?add

Yes. If it is your first colour with us, or your last colour was more than six months ago, you need a skin patch test at least 48 hours beforehand. It is free, takes five minutes, and you can book it online as its own appointment.

How long does balayage take?add

Allow three and a half to four hours. Balayage with a blow dry is booked at 3 hrs 35 mins, and balayage with a haircut and blow dry at 3 hrs 55 mins. Very long or very dark hair can run longer — mention it when you book.

Do your highlights include Olaplex?add

Full head highlights are priced with Olaplex included. It is worked into the lightener to protect the bonds while the hair lifts, which is what keeps the ends from snapping.

Can I get hair extensions fitted with my own hair?add

Yes — Half Head Hair Extensions is a fitting-only service for hair you already have. If you want us to supply the hair, book the micro-ring half or full head instead, and we will match it to your colour.
